Book'em will run with either Windows 3.x or Windows95 and should run fine on any 486 or higher processor with at least 8 meg of memory. It will run on less but the minimum recommended processor is a 486 33Mhz or better.

Book'em will create a few sample collections by default when it first starts up. From the collection contents screen, press the button next to the current collection to bring up the collection maintenance window. Here you can define as many or few collections as you desire. Create categories for all of your favorite book types. Remember that one book can be entered into any number of collections! For example, The Warren Report could be contained in both Fiction and Historical collections.

When your first enter the book details, it will be put into whatever collection you currently have open. If you wish to put the book into additional collections, simply click on the Collections tab stop in the book details screen. Here you can associate the book with any number of collections.
Another way to manage collection contents is to press the Contents button from the Collection Contents screen. This will display a dual list with all books in one side and the books currently in the collection on the other. You can use this screen to move books into and out of the collection.

The Book'em install will add an icon for the Book'em INI file. Double click this icon to edit the name, address, sales tax and other information to your desired values. Note - the demo version will revert to its default values after you run the program! This limitation is removed in the production versions.
